Noticed a few drops of oil under the front axle today. Left side of power steering cylinder leaking oil at 38 hrs. Will be stopping at dealer Tuesday to arrange for repair, but just wondering if anyone else experienced this issue.

Never noticed, I probably wouldnt sweat a couple drops of oil though.

Have you been in any brush lately? The steering cyl is pretty exposed.

Oil leaks from my 40 yr old JD 820 I expect, but I don't expect them from a new tractor with 40 hrs on the meter.

I use my equipment, sometimes hard, but I take great care not to abuse it.

Clearly the tractor is defective and you should go back and demand a full refund, then go buy an new JD that doesn't leak

Yes. Just today I noticed my BX25D doing the same thing from the same side as yours. Just a few drops but a bit of a worry when I only have 36 hours on it. The other side is fine. Called the dealer I bought it from and they are "looking into it" . I've only been using it around the yard so it hasn't been in any brush to damage the seal.

Check the hose connection above the power steering unit. On mine the connector above was seeping a bit of oil and was a little bit loose. So we tightened it and it seems to be ok now. The connection is just above the oil seal on the unit and the oil seeps down and it looks like the seal is leaking. When we looked closer the oil was coming from the connection above but its hard to see up in there.

It's a known issue. Ask the dealer to replace the cylinder assembly under your warranty. To my knowledge, there is not a new part number so more than likely you'll get the same cylinder assembly, unless they've changed vendors or materials and use the same part number-which with Kubota, is entirely possible. At one time, the cylinder assemblies were back ordered, so before you take it in, ask them to check the part number's stock in the warehouses.

Thanks for letting me know. I will keep on top of this and give the dealer another call.

I have the same leak looks like. BX25d

Was a little low in fluid - so did a change front and back to some new UDT2

Once I filled up the level back to where it should be the leak was worse.

I think I'm out of warranty but not sure.

The entire cylinder assembly doesn't have to be replaced does it? Just the seal kit on the one side - maybe the head too but not sure.
