Has anyone else been pricing a TN70A lately ? Just trying to get an idea if my closest dealer is in the right ballpark. I'm getting ready to upgrade tractors soon and the NH looks pretty good to me so far. I'm looking at the MFWD platform model with loader, my dealer has a 2007 on the lot for right around $31k.

On 12/29/06 I got prices for my TN70A. I priced it with a backhoe, but also asked for the individual prices. For the tractor: $24992.00, 810TL FEL $4890.00, 759c Backhoe $7318.00.

I ordered the tractor on 3/30/07. My salesman explained that New Holland was planning a price increase but it had not been determined for how much.

The tractor was delivered 6/28/07. The price increase on the tractor/ FEL/ Backhoe was $855.00. I don't have individual item prices for the increase.

I hope this info helps.

Hello all TBN People, while I haven't posted or replied before, I have enjoyed all of the information and writers for about a year. I wish everyone the best.

  I think I made a mistake about the price increase stated in my previous message. I hadn't decided on tires/wheels until ordering in March of 2007 and ordered R-4's instead of the standard R-1's. The R-4's cost more than the R-1's, possibly $400.00 more, but that's only from the back of my head, I don't have the additional cost listed in my notes.

Sorry for the error, I hope I haven't caused anyone problems.

Since youre getting a loader does that assume youll also have a PS transmission? If so thatll figure into the price as will the number of rear remotes.

My one and only price so far was for a 2007 on the lot without power shuttle and only 1 rear remote, also had R1 tires on it. I definitely need to get a price on the tractor as I would really want it, i.e. the PS, a NH 32LC loader instead of the Bushog brand that was on the one I looked at, 2 remotes, upgraded hyd. capacity, steel canopy, R4 tires. I'm considering buying used too, but hopefully can afford new. If the Power shuttle trans. runs the price of a new one up very much, I would accept the 12x12 syncro. trans. if the deal is right with my other wants.

The 32LC loader has been discontinued. Rhino, who manufactured those loaders for NH, has been replaced by Quicke. The current comparable loader to the 32LC would be the 820TL.

Was your quote from the dealer in Clarksville? If so you might take a drive to N'ville or Paris and see what prices are like there. I would have suggested my dealer in Athens but thats too far I think.

I bought an '07 TN75 w/ PS 16x16, 2 rear remotes, no mid remotes, widest R1s, 4wd, front weights/rack and canopy for right at $28K. I think theres something else on my tractor which was optional but Im spacing out right now and cant recall it. I originally ordered 2wd which was quoted at about $23K but later decided I wanted 4wd. I never got a quote on the 12x12 b/c I wanted the wet clutch so Im not sure what the diff in price would be. Come to think of it...your final price will also be effected by current promos. When I bought I got a discount for providing my own $ (vs NH credit) + something else. That amted to a fairly good chunk as I recall.

Skip, Be sure you get a delivery date on the NH loader, we've been hearing alot of delays from within our dealer network. It's kind of spotty depending on your location. This NH tractor is an ideal canidiate for the CC-330 loader. New technology with internal hosing, low-profile lines, and power-dismount. It is a great fit on tractors with big 4WD tires and fenders while still allowing turning radius and has excellent oscilation (basically no loader interference).
Front-End Loaders by Westendorf: loader for tractor, shade canopy, wagons, manure & landscaping equipment.

I'm just starting to look in my "spare" time - My closest dealer is in Dickson and they have very limited room for all the models, only a few of the bigger tractors. I have full intentions of checking in Nashville & Clarksville yet. The day I looked at the TN70A was cold & raw and I didn't even sit in the seat - it was full of ice. I need to crawl underneath etc. and look them over good - especially the fuel tank. I do alot of brush/tree work and I can just see limbs poking & slapping that plastic tank. It's the main issue I saw with the Case equivelent with the tank/fill neck right behind that left front tire. One other thing that bothers me somewhat about the NH is the fact that Fiat is involved - I was an auto mechanic for 34 years and worked on alot of Fiat autos back in the 70's & 80's - hopefully Fiat industrial is considerably better !!!

As far as the loader goes, I was basing my NH preference over the Bushog because of capacities listed in the brochures and online. I saw a Quicke loader on a Landini tractor the other week but didn't look at specs, and I've heard of Westendorf but had never seen one until the pic shown here. It sure is a clean looking loader with the internal hosing - that would be a big plus doing brush work. I've got alot of information gathering to do yet and some shopping around and everyone's replies here are very helpful. I don't mind dealing with a dealer within 100 miles, I have my own trailer and hopefully the tractor wouldn't be going back anyway, during warranty period only if necessary. If I have to load it up and haul it 40 miles (my closest dealer) another 50 miles or so isn't going to make much difference to me. I haul my tractor on the average once a month year 'round for work.

The new TNs have metal over the portions of the tank exposed to the ground which someone deemed adequate for ag field work. For my hay fields its probably overkill. I think running around in the woods is a diff matter as I doubt it would survive a stump or rock. From a previous discussion in this forum, since the plate is std equipment (vs optional) NH offers no heavier part. Better protection is a roll your own affair. There are also hydraulic lines exposed underneath which can get ripped up. In the end if you want best protection youll need to armor your machine like the power line mowers are rigged. Those Ive seen have lower clearance.
