I know most of you don't transport your tractor on a regular basis but, I do and I presently use my 14' mowing trailer and all is well however spring is coming and I need that trailer back for all my mowers. I want a 16' cause when I add a spreader it is too tight. I have borrowed a few 16' bobcat trailers to try out before I buy and I run into a problem while loading, the boxblade hits when I drive up on the ramps either forward or backward. I noticed the trailer itself is too high, ramps are too short, and really too beefy for my tractor. It probably only weighs 3000 pounds with loader, bucket, boxblade and all. Anyone else have this problem with their compact tractor?

EasyE: I have an 18' Peaque 10,000lb Skid Steer trailer. I have run into the issue you describe when I have a chipper mounted on the back of the 2305. The ballast box barely makes it and doesn't scrape. I'm sure if I put my 6' blade on it would scrape except for...

1 quick solution - Change the angle of the implement when loading.

The Center link they give you with the 2305 usually will barely allow you to level an implement before bottoming out. I took out the pins, unscrewed them all the way, then took off the lock nuts to gain 3/16" of an inch but that wasn't enough.

I was able to find a short Center link (At a tractor shop). With this I can pull the center link way in to angle the implement up. When you raise the rockshaft the implement will raise way up at the end (Where it scrapes). This works for me. I can probably get a 20 degree plus reverse angle with the short CL vs 0 degree if I was lucky with the stock CL.

One other solution (Accomplishes the same thing) - Extend the
linkages on the draft arms (Effectively making the CL shorter..).

I mounted a pair of Pat's Easy change hooks on the Draft links. This adds 2" plus to the length of the draft links. Now if I use the stock 2305 CL I can angle the implements up.

Hope this helps.

I deliver tractors for local JD dealership and when I load certain tractors with ballast box, etc. on ramp truck I back them in with FEL 1/4 way up that usually works. I'm not sure if it will work with trailer..

I had a problem with loading with all my tractors onto my trailer. I just extended the ramps 24 inches and now I can load anything I want on there.

Have you tried a trailer with a dove tail? Or maybe a fancy tilt trailer would work. JC

Just ordered a 18' dove tail equipment trailer and it should be ready in a few weeks. I should have thought of that before now.

I had a 14' tandem axle ordered and came across a deal
I couldnt refuse yesterday so I cancelled. I found a 6' x 10' all steel trailer with electric brakes on one axle for $400 CDN. It's a bit short but the 2305 with FEL just fits on there and I dont transport it that much so it works great.

After all that story what I'm trying to say is that the beautiful part of this trailer is it has drop axles and it only sits about 13" off the ground. When driving up the 4' ramp it went up like a charm.

About a week ago I tested out a traielr with regular axles which was probably 6" higher and it was horrible to load.

My opion is drop axles are amazing.

Good Luck...
