my mowers is missing grass. it looks like the blades are not low enough. the blades are in good shape. the deck is all the way down and cutting with it at full throtle. i don't know what to do . i am very unhappy with it, with only five hours /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

High lift blades will help, but i think this is a problem with most newer cubs, poor deck and spindle combo! This is weak link! I think the blade tip speed is lower on new cubs. THE FASTER THE BLADE TIP SPEED THE BETTER THE CUT!most of the time I have two cut twice,which burns me up.If I had only 5hr I would take it back.and get something else,or put bigger pullies on the deck to increase BTS. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I made the following changes to my Z-Force 50 to get it to cut better. First make sure that the spacer is above the blade. (mine came with the spacer below the blade) Also I added a washer in addition to the spacer to move the blade down a little farther. Next unbolt the strip on the front underneath the deck. The long one is in the middle plus a short one by the discharge shute. Move the front idler wheels up one hole. Keep the blades sharp. The Z-Force does a great job of cutting and is much faster. I have found that the deck wash system does not always clean under the deck. I use a putty knife to finish cleaning under the deck.

i went back to the dealer. we put a set of blades that came off the LT 1050 . this blade set lower the end of the blade was offset down one inch. so now i cut lower but the deck is higher. the blade on the LT 1050 is a high lift blade /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
