Barry;
Great pictures!!. It looks like a great chance to compare the PT against the Bota.

The shaft driven PTO PHD looks a **** of a lot better & stronger than Power-Trac's toy PHD ( I can say that....because I owned PT's PHD with the 6, 9, & 12" augur bits)
Thanks Rich, Advantage Kubota, It is a heavy- duty unit for sure over 200 pounds. I need to get myself some forks rigged for this tractor, my next attachment move.
Advantage Power Trac the unit of course, would have the addition of downward pressure and being able to see your progress from a front view. I may use my electric cylinder to rig downward pressure on my 3 point. As for comparison of the two tractors. There are many. A few obvious things that come to mind between the BX and 400 series PT's. The lift on the loader, Advantage Kubota. I can lift / pile or scoop dirt way up high very large bucket, the 425 may come close.
Advantage PT, I notice with the Power Trac is the larger front tires roll over ruts and ditches much better than Kubota. It can be a bit tipsy with a heavy load in route. I of course do not have my tires loaded or any
ballast on the back which does make a big difference.
The Kubota does help compensate for the smaller tires when in 4x4 mode the front tire will pull out of the hole with no problem. I still like the larger tire for all around use and stability on the PT.
Speaking of carrying heavy loads through the woods. Another disadvantage with the BX. There is a plastic fan to help cool the hydraulics up under the back of the unit also your oil filter and some hydraulic hose's. If you run a stick through this fan and break a fin. It can be a major pain in the --- to replace also expensive.
They make an after market skid plate you can install to protect the belly, which I will get as soon as I can. The PT is pretty much protected other than the hose's around the wheels. Advantage PT.
