PTO adjustment on a 2400

My PTO lift lever has alot of play in it and it won't lift the attachment as far up as it should. How do I adjust the amount of play in the lever?

I'm gonna assume you mean three point hitch lever. Is it the type with position control or does it act like a remote with up, neutral, and down positions on the lever. They were made both ways.
