Howdy folks, I have had a one of the quick connectors with the ball bearings stuck for a while. I recently bought a Rhino finish mower so it was time to unstick the shaft. I put a chain around I tree and attached it to the shaft but trying to drive the tractor and pulling back the release didn't work too well trying to do solo. I didn't find any other solution here so I came up with this in case anyone else has this problem.
I drilled a 1/2 hole in the pto shaft.
I slipped a piece of pipe over the shaft to use as a weighted slide.
I put a bolt in the hole. Sliding the pipe up and down the pto shaft a few times the coupler came right off. Didn't even bend the bolt.
