Kubota L3200HST
:cool2:

I've pulled the trigger on a brand new Kubota L3200 HST with the FEL and a Landpride RFC2060 brush cutter with the flat top and optional chains for guarding against kickouts. I wanted to get one while I could still find one. They've stopped manufacturing them as they switch to tier 4 emissions. I didn't want to be part of that switchover and price increase. I had all 3 rear remotes added and the 3pt stabilizer. I had the rear tires filled with Rim Guard so I'll have another 1,200 lbs of weight. I bought an 18' trailer to haul it with double axle (3,500lbs each). I need to take the old F-150 up to get the electric brake controller added since my current boat trailer has surge brakes. I'm so happy to be saying farewell to my current Ford 2N and brush cutter. I never knew if I'd get to spend time using it or trying to get it to run.

I still need to decide on a tiller. It's down to the Landpride reverse tiller RTR1550 or RTR1558. The 3200's manual lists tiller width at 54" max but the dealer said he puts 66" tillers on these Ls to cover both tires. Since I only need to maintain a small horse arena and a 25'x25' garden I think the 50" would be sufficient if I offset it to cover 1 tire. I don't really see the advantage of the 66" except in time - which would be minimal in my application to begin with.

Congratulations, I bought the same tractor in January and have been very happy with it.

With the HST, you can go very slow as needed when tilling so I would expect you to be fine on the bigger tiller. You might have to make multiple passes to get the depth you want but I think you will be fine.. (I have a L3130 and am looking a 6' tillers to cover my tracks).

Congratulations on your new tractor, Kubota's recommendations are on the conservative side so either tiller will work.

Sounds like someone is planning ahead! Congratulations on your new tractor, you will really love it over the old one. I just saw the Kubota tv adds, showing, 0 down, and 0% for 60 months, and thinking about upgrading from my current B3200 to the L3800 my self, for the same reason, don't want to mess with tier four and DPF (?) fluid for my tractor either. I had just bought a new tiller and rotary cutter this spring, (keep wanting to call it a bush hog, but that's a brand name). I live in Louisiana, and really don't have that many rocks in my dirt that needs a smaller tiller, therefore going to keep my Landpride RTA 1250 (50 inch ) tiller for the L3800, and the LandPride rotary cutter is the LP RCR 1860, which is a little to heavy for my B3200 any way. I also found out, you don't bush hog, with out a cab, unless, there has been some rain, due to the dust that it kicks up. Enjoy your new toy, I mean tool.

Does your 50" tiller cover your B's tire tracks? That was the big reason I keep hearing for going with the 66" Landpride reverse tiller - covering my L3200's tracks. If your 50" doesn't cover the B's tracks is it a big deal for you?

Congrats on the new tractor. Be safe. I bought a L3240 in June. I am sure you will enjoy.

Dealer waiting on one of the rear remotes. I'm 2-3 weeks from delivery. It's like waiting for Christmas.
