Just wanted to let the forum know I picked up an L3400 recently. Very happy with the tractor. Appreciate the advice that was given.

Good stuff! Nice Woods box blade as well. I've got the Woods HB72 and I LOVE it!

Nice GSDs too! Look like West German lines to me. I've got a GSD and a Belgian Shepherd.

Nice tractor. Congratulations on your new toy.

I like the look of the land. Which state are you in? Montana, guessing by your username?

The box blade is taking some practice to get good at but I think I am making some progress. The dogs are funny- they follow me around when I am grading.

Take a lot of pics while its still shiny and new. The pics will be priceless in a few years. Good luck with the tractor.....

I am in Billings Montana. The land is mostly flat but really drops off behind the house.

How smooth does your 3ph go up? Your box blade work looks good, I could not get it that smooth with the jerky 3ph valve on my 3400. Maybe I will get better with practice.

It does seem to get better with practice. Once the major grading is done, keeping it smooth isn't too much trouble. One of the TBN members reccommended extending the top link all the way and then set the valve control all the way down (float mode?). No more adjustments are needed at this point- just drive and it should smooth out ok.
