I had a number of parts saved in my cart to purchase for my tractor on Amazon, last week, before Black Friday, I started to get notices that prices for items in my cart had changed. Nearly all of the prices went up, one item alone, went up $50. On Tuesday, I started to get notices again that there were price changes to the items in my cart, checked and seen that the prices went back down to what they were before.

So, is this just a coincidence for the the items I had saved or was this something that others experienced as well. I think it was obvious why it happened, I wonder if people are paying attention to things like this and if it did happen to others, if people did complain about it, I'm sure they'll blame it on Covid.

Amazon does that frequently. I often place items in different Shopping Lists for various projects "in the queue". When I'm ready, I place them in a cart where they may sit for a few days or even more. I get the "price change" notices too. When I do, I delete them from my cart. (They stay in my shopping lists.) More often than not, the price goes back to what it was or even drops lower. I got two 100lb propane tanks for the price of one several months ago. Price changes will also show up in your shopping lists. They are trying to get you to buy NOW. Buy when you're ready--Not before.

Another tooth grinder for me is their search function. When I enter a search, even for a specific item, I get pages and pages of worthless items that have nothing to do with what I searched for. 😏 I often bail out of Amazon and try later. Sometimes it works, sometimes it's the same.

They are in business to sell products. You gotta play their game.

If you put an item in your cart you haven't yet purchased it. The price is not firm until the final purchase. Much of the stuff at Amazon is purchased THROUGH Amazon, not FROM Amazon. It works basically like eBay, Walmart, NewEgg, or many other places. Amazon prices are not always the lowest prices. Shop around.
