Quick Attach Bucket Comes Loose

In the past few days I have been helping a neighbor dig up some pine trees. When I pry backwards with the bucket it comes unlatched only on the right side. The spring loaded pin that comes down to lock in the bottom of the bucket is wedge shaped and it works loose and comes out. This has happened 7 times in the last few days and it is driving me crazy. Has anyone else had a problem with their bucket coming loose? What did you do to fix it? The loader is an LA853 with a standard 72" bucket.

I'm not familiar with Kubota's quick attacth, but I assume its the same as other quick attachs I've used.
Try adjusting the linkage, there should be a nut at the top of the linkage (above the spring).
Adjust it in or out to make the linkage straight up and down to the wedge when in the latched posisition.
If the linkage when latched goes to far (over center) or not far enough it will let the wedge pin push out.

I had the same problem with my LA853 loader except when mine
fell off it broke the tips off of the quick-attach pins. I posted on Oct 1 under the subject (LA853 quick-attach problems).You might also
look there for similiar problems.

Tim,
Thanks for your advice. I looked at your thread from Oct 1st and it sounds just like my problem. I'm going to try adding washers tonight and if that doesn't fix the problem I may try grinding out the lower slot on the bucket that the tapered pin engages.
