I currently swapped my rear R4's to turfs for mowing. I still have the front R4s on (long story)
I measured the the Rolling circumference of both my rear tires, actually mounted on the tractor, and they were within .5" of each other.
103" for my loaded R4s, 103.5" for unloaded turfs. They are within acceptable tolerance to each other imo.
I have used my 4x4 with this setup in the dirt with no problem. I too want to swap the front tires to the turfs but haven't got around to it yet.
Do you have your front turfs mounted on wheels already? The wheel specs are the same for the R4 and R3 wheel, but the construction is a bit different. The industrials have a guard over the valve stem, and its located close to the edge while the turfs are more towards the center of the wheel. Kubota does have different part#'s for the wheels.
The parts guys thought it should be fine, but I haven't tried it yet, and may just take it somewhere to get mounted, but don't want to be out $ if it doesn't work.
Currently have unmounted front turf tires sitting in the garage
