Radial or bias ply?

I've been quoted just under $200 for Carlisle bias 14" on the front of my JD. Titans list at $1000 but have half the weight rating...

If I was going for new bias tires my first and second choice would be Firestones and a notch up from OEM quality. You really do get what you pay for. They don't make some small sizes but that's just my two cents.

I heard years ago that you aren't supposed to use tire plugs with radials. Any truth to that? I am sure people do it, even if you aren't supposed to. I have heard of people using them on cars, but I personally never would except maybe temporarily in an emergency situation. Patches I am ok with.

Plugs work on radial tractor tires just fine unless you have tires loaded with ballast.
