Hi all,

Looking to add a rear blade for supplemental snow removal (have a front blower on an L6060) and am eyeing up the RB3796, possibly with the hydraulic angle cylinder. Do you think this will be a good fit for the L6060? I also plan to do some general gravel road maintenance with it as I have a 1/3' gravel road driveway.

I think the RBT3596 is significantly more expensive and only like 80lbs heavier, though I see they have options to install up to three hydraulic cylinders on that model.

Any other brands I should be looking at? I tried to look at the comparable Woods in the .50 and .60 and it felt like the land pride offering was more bang for the buck and suited the tractor a little better?

Should I be looking at the 7' instead of the 8'?

Thank you!

Off set rear blade handy for ditching also winging back snow banks.

Found an in stock RBT3596 for a pretty good price. Are they really that much better than the RB37 series?

By far better. Get it and the skid shoes if you can. You will not be sorry. Add hydraulics as needed if it does not already have them.

And an 8 footer all the way for your tractor. A 7 footer would be small when angled.

Thank you I am going to check the RBT3596 out.

I just picked up a used RBT4084 for L3240 the other day, haven't had a chance to use it yet because I need to change out the couplers for the cylinders.
It looks like the main difference between the 40 and 35 series is just the bracing is a little thicker and the main beam is a little longer on the 40 series (adds about 89lbs on a 84in).

The 40 is overkill for my tractor but it was a decent price which is why I got it. With the extra HP the 96 would be a great size.
With R4 at the narrowest setting I can go to 30° and still cover my tracks, the 96 would allow me to go to 40°.`

They are nice stout blades!
Still want to add one more cylinder and get a better gauge wheel.

The blade can be pivoted to the side, which makes it great for creating a ditch. It can also be raised to push back snow banks.

Yeah, both the RB and the RBT can be offset. I think I’m going to go with the RBT3986 with one cylinder for angle and I can always add more cylinders later if necessary but for snow cleanup the occasional manual offset shouldn’t be a big deal.

Would you use the skid shoes with snow? How about on concrete with snow?

I have a Rhino 950 rear blade. Heavy duty blade for maintenance on my mile long gravel driveway. If it snows and the driveway is still soft - reverse the blade. I also offset and angle for snow removal. Go like smoke and oakum.

My blade is 8 foot. By the time I angle it will cut a 72" swath. Not quite as wide as my rear tires. It's no problem because I offset also when clearing snow. I offset about 14" outside the rear tire on the one side. Couple of areas on my driveway where I definitely want to stay away from the edge. LARGE dropoff. Offset takes care of that concern nicely.
