Just wanted to let you guys know officially that Everlast is now in the Laser business and has been for most of the past year. But now that most of our line is assembled, we have a solid line with great technical support to help the guys through that are in need of this new technology.
The market has been led by a select few companies that have overcharged and under delivered on their laser products and tried to keep it uber lucrative for them. We are now using our model and applying our cost-effective approach to the industry to shake things up a bit.
Laser welders are faster, better penetrating, and less heat making than conventional welders such as MIG or TIG. You can train your grandma to weld in 15 minutes (Yes, our top tech laser guy did it.). While there are a few different safety rules for Lasers, overall, things are very similar to regular welding. The lasers are in the invisible light spectrum, but are strong enough, depending upon the laser wattage to weld up to 1/2". But in general, most of the average units that most people would be interested in having in a shop situation can weld up to 3/16" or up to a 1/4".
The power of a laser to remove rust, paint and mills scale without damaging the surface is astounding. Our dedicated pulse laser systems can be tuned to remove ink from paper. Our LaserWelder/Cleaners are strong enough to resurface the metal, if desired.
The cleaning side is a environmentally sound and faster solution to sand blasting.
Here's just what one of our basic pulsed laser cleaners can do:
