Been working on my $250.00 Bush Hog and my wife snapped a few pics of me inatalling a front guard I made out af some belting that was thrown away at our plant. Then a video of how I unloaded the Bush Hog off the trailer at the farm. I can't haul the tractor and Bush Hog on the trailer at the same time so I loaded it at home with the FEL and had to come up with a way to unload it. The drive in reverse and slam on the brakes was an option but really a last resort LOL. Note: I still need to finish the paint job but ran out of time.

My wife stepped on a fire ant hill while taking this but did not say a thing, that is why it is jumping around at times:

Jim, nobody could say that you aren't resourceful to use a chainfall like that, but I am so glad that tree limb didn't break at the worst possible time. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but the postoaks at my place have big limbs that break off very easily. Watching you work under that limb kinda scared me. It sure looks like you got a bargain on that cutter and can put it back into service soon, but I hope you won't be lifting it often by using tree limbs. I'm so glad it worked out without incident.:)

Well that's one of many ways to unload,I've seen some tie/chain attachment to tree/solid object and slowly drive...but to slam on the brakes to unload...yikes.

That's the way we unload some things that are too heavy to lift. A good chain or two and sometimes some 4" logs for rollers. :)

The 'slam on the brakes in reverse' works well for dropping of drunk friends in the yard. :p

I was worried about the tree at first but saw it was good for the unload when no one was under it. When I was working on the front you can see that I had the weight off the tree limb by using a duct jack to hold the bush hog up. The chainfall at that point was just there as a back up.

I got the same problem, Trailer is too small to move both tractor and mower at the same time.
Can lift it high enough with the 3PH to get it on the trailer here.
Unloading it there is a tree and a chain. Chain it to a tree and just drive the trailer right out from under it.
Works good!!!

A boom pole on the tractor would have had that off quickly! I think That rubber guard is going to be U shaped on the first use -- JMHO. Good buy :D

He cannot transport the tractor with boom pole and the brush hog at the same time on that trailer. Sounds like a good excuse to have two tractors, to me. ;)
