Regulars vs. \"one hit wonders\"?

I was reading a thread and I started wondering about something. I am wondering, does anyone know how many registered members actually return and participate on a regualr basis? I know it says 12898 registered members at the top, and that is great, but it seems that a LOT of those that register post a question about which tractor to get and are never heard from again, or they post a problem and are gone.

This has been discussed several times before. My guess would be lots of people read this for solutions, but never post or reply at all. Sort of like going to the library... you might ask the librarian for assistance in looking up information about tractors. Then you read the information and go home. Most folks don't go back to the librarian and start talking tractors. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Lot's of folks aren't that talkative, social or interested in forging new acquaintances. They just want some help and need to get back to work... something that I have to do right now. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

What really matters are the hits on the site. Along with the registered voters there are hundreds of people each day that access the site without being registered. This site has grown by leaps and bounds with the amount of traffic on here everyday. That is where you really see how popular you are.

Our "daily regular" crowd is about 1,000 people... but those are just the registered people who post frequently. Overall, there are 6-8,000 people per day who visit. So around 1 in 6-8 are "regulars."

Regular's not to be confused with normal.

My dad always called me "Sonny", but that didn't mean I was bright.
