A flat head or button head cap screw that has the allen rounded, tap with a blunt punch and it will allow it to be removed (sometimes) Kroil (brand name) is the best penetrating oil I have ever used to loosen rusty- stuck bolts. Never fry bacon in the nude and don't play leapfrog with a Unicorn.

I have 2 air hammer bits that I use regularly. One is a tapered punch that I keep flat and tapered, for driving parts at a tangent. The flat taper bites into the part and then forces it to turn, especially if the part is heated. The other is a tapered punch that has a point ground on the tip. This is great for driving parts straight on. The point digs in and keeps the bit from wandering as you give it full power. I keep sharpening them until they're stubby, then keep them as "just in case I need a stubby bit" for close quarter work. I like an air hammer with good trigger control so I can feather the power on as needed.

I used to subscribe to Plant Engineering Magazine at a previous employer. They had about 4 or 5 of these handy little tricks in every issue. The link above takes you to some of them. Look around a bit. They may have links to more.

Put magnets on the side of your drill press to hold chuck and drill bits.

Good idea but be sure to put them above the work table level so no chips are collected there, or out of the way where you would brush or spray your chips off.

I slip my magnets in those disposable sandwhich baggies.. after enough dust and flakes/chips collect.. i roll the bag off and dispose of it, leaving a clean magnet.
