If anyone is looking at doing this i managed to do it without any drilling or welding or using any bracket. Assuming you use the same filter assembly as below or one with similar width mounting holes it is possible to mount it using threaded rod and 3 nuts per rod. The rod goes into the block. A nut holds the rod in tight against the block. I used loctite too. Then the next nut screws on and sets the clearance from the block and the steering hydraulic pipes. Then you mount the assembly. Then you out the final nut on that holds the sssembly on tight. Use 8mm hose and barbed fittings. Use washers if necessary.
