My Kioti CK25 ignition switch finally gave up working after I had revived it many times with cleans of electrical contact cleaner, so it needs replaced, and I now have a brand new factory replacement. But how do you install it? I have the factory workshop manual, which does not seem to cover this procedure. I've been through the manual several times looking in all the likely places, nothing. Getting the front cowling off doesn't seem to be covered either.

Please can someone point me in the right direction or give me a tip or two on how to accomplish this?

My tractor is a DK45S and I don't know how similar they are. On my tractor I removed the panel below the switch, unplugged the inline connector and unscrewed the trim ring/nut on the outside to remove the switch.

Replace the one on my2008 CK35 a few months ago, it was easy to do.
I unpluged it under the dash, unsrewed it on the top and pulled it out. The only thing I found was that you have to push the wires to one side when pulling out as they are in a "holder" or "bracket" under the dash. Feel around under the dash and push the wires to one side. Good luck. :)

My experience was very similar to Mousefield on my 2004 CK30hst which should be almost identical to your CK25. There is a matching connector to what you see on your new ignition switch under the right side of the dash just below the ignition switch. If you can bend over backwards and look under that part of the dash, you can see it. I just had enough room for my hands under the dash and did it by feel. Pull the two connectors apart. A pair of channel lock pliers on the metal silver ring of the ignition switch will take it off and it's right hand threads. Unscrew the ring completely and the switch will come out through the bottom of the dash. Reverse for the install making sure the little tab on the new switch fits into the slot of the dash hole. It should be about a five minute job.

Disregard the part about removing the panel below the switch. There is no panel, it's just open below the switch. Brain fart.

One thing I have been wondering is if a Bobcat switch will fit a Kioti. I don't think I have heard of a problem with a Bobcat switch.

Thanks for all the help. I did have a look under the panel that the switch is a part of. I could see what has been mentioned. I probably over engineered this, but I tried taking off the front vertical panel first, 4 bolts so I could see how the dash panel is held in place. I next took off all the bolts that held that down so I could lift it up and look under it better. I wear bifocals and have a hard time seeing upside down and close. But I could see then that all I needed to do is to unplug the 6 connector and undo the lock ring to replace. The replacement seemed to go fine then. I wouldn't do it this way again now I know how everything works, but it helped me the first time.

One thing I have been wondering is if a Bobcat switch will fit a Kioti. I don't think I

The Bobcat switch probably uses the same plug, but the switch and key are entirely different, and has
no plastic cap to keep water out.

BTW, it is very easy to dissassemble the Kioti key switch and check/clean the contacts. This photo shows the
insides of my 2005 CK30 switch, which I opened up to see how it looked. After hearing of others
who suspected switch problems, I am glad to say I have had none. (Ground contacts from battery to
subframe, that's another story.)

Not to split hairs, but a diesel tractor does not have an "ignition" switch.
