I got in my digital dash and Black Rhino CDI unit and installed them in my Rhino. With only the digital dash unit installed, I wanted to see how close the "listed" 40mph top speed was to what it actually ran. On numerous tries, it ran exactly 40mph. Not 39, not 41, but exactly 40mph. I installed the Black Rhino CDI and now it runs 51mph. it may not sound like a lot, but across my lawn with a few rises and drops, it becomes light and a bit airborne at times. Based upon the sound of the RPMs at that speed, I don't think I'd want to push it any more.
We switched back and forth between the RTV and Rhino today for about 2 hours of blasting around the property. Man, these are COOL units! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif The RTV is smooth and relaxing, but will take you everywhere the Rhino goes; albiet slower. The Rhino is bold, wild and a rush to pilot. I'm glad to have both, I'd likely get bored with just one of them. If anyone knows if the ITP aftermarket chrome wheels for the Rhino gives more width, I'd like to know. I can see that it would't take just a whole lot of trying to send one into a high speed tumble /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif. If anyone hears of the "clutch adjustment" that changes the top speed gearing on the Rhino, I'd be curious to read about it. I don't want to turn more RPM, but the Rhino has 60 + mph in it if the gearing is right! I suppose my wife wouldn't see the need for that. She thinks that the RTV flies after having Gators for the last 6 years or so. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
