Hi - the L3350 is a very beefy tractor - large frame, strong 3 point hitch. The BF800 FEL handles 1700 lb. In the years they were made, the model number was close to the pto horsepower (32) so the gross enigne power is more like 40 hp. The same tractor chassis was available with 2 larger engines (L3750 and L4150). $10k is toward the high side - but it might well be worth it - provided it's leak free, oil is clean, no blue smoke on startup, air filters are clean and intact, hoses, radiator, battery, all a-ok and the bottom side should still be shiny. Raise the front wheels off the ground with the loader (should pop it up and stay there with no effort even with nothing on the 3 point hitch) and check the tightness of the front wheel bearings & linkage. Should have zero bearing slop - and no evidence of leaks anywhere on the front axle. Attach something heavy to the 3-point hitch like a 7 foot rotary mower (or maybe a spear and a bale) and see how easily it lifts it. Should handle it fine - if it struggles the pump and/or ram are worn - maybe a deal breaker. With decent maintenance and 2000 hours it's only defects should be faded paint, maybe a ripped seat cover and some missing reflectors.
Have fun - and good luck! Take care, Dick B
