Many of us have been to their auctions and many of us have purchased from them in the past. They have the ability to decide if they will or will not, accept auction items and bring them to market. IMO, by accepting and agreeing to sell the border wall material, They are betraying the US taxpayer. I for one won't set foot at another one of their sales.

There will be a court fight about this, and an injunction filed very soon.
Maybe so.. But the main thing is that RB agreed to auction the material in the first place.. Its a slap in the face to the people who buy from them on a regular basis.

What is the other option? Throw all those materials away…. Did Ritchie Bros go looking for this or was the same type of deal where the item was offered to them to be put on an auction. I fail to see how this is a betrayal by Ritchie vs our politicians..

Maybe someone can change my mind as its open.
if the Gov't decided to sell the stuff on Amazon / FB Marketplace / E-Bay or ship it to local scrap yard or whatever are we supposed to hate those businesses for taking the business? I understand the Gov't hate of the decision but not the hate pointed at the middleman.
I hope people don't hate me cause the last tractor I bought was from a Japanese company and car from German company (ie: WWII)

The other option is to tell the sellers ( the gubment )they are not interested in brokering the sale. They would not throw them away.. They would be getting erected in 3 months like they were intended. Its not like Ritchie docent know what they are or what the selling party is trying to do.

Some politician or one of their family members has probably already came up with a plan to buy the panels cheap and sell them back to the government at a much inflated price, adding to their already highly inflated bank accounts.

The current sections of border fence have “gates” cut in them everywhere. A battery operated reciprocating saw seems to be the gatemaker of choice. The only place a fence works is along urban areas where people can’t make gates undetected.
Yup. Easy to go under, over or around and it's being done regularly.
