Does anyone know where to find parts for a Robin engine (EH72D)? I've found a part number for a high altitude jet for the carb (263-6240-08), but cannot find an online source for it. I'd also be interested in gasket sets for carb and exhaust. There are plenty of .pdf's online that provide exploded parts detail, but they do not list a source for the parts.

One more thing. I've now got 23.7 hours on the 425 and just noticed that the gas tank is rubbing against a mounting bolt on the left side. There's a small rub indent that you can see and feel, but I don't think it is serious yet. I'm going to see if I can move the tank forward enough to clear the bolt. Just a heads up.

Thanks,

Ken

One of the mounting bolts is VERY close to the tank on mine. Even closer is a fitting on the PTO block directly in front of the tank. That one has rubbed a small indent in the tank and I am careful when replacing the tank to position it as far away as possible from both bolts.

No leaks, but if I hadn't been observing the situation there probably would be. And in worst case, a fire burning my toy completely.

Did you try Jack's small engine store on the internet?

Yea, I've check them out and no luck. What's with Robin anyway? I can find parts for Honda, Briggs, Kawasaki, Tecumseh, Kohler, etc., but not Robin. :(

Try Continental Engines. 800-922-5632. I like them.

Thanks. I'll call Jacks and Continental on Monday.

On the other problem, I loosened the gas tank and was just able to get it to clear the mounting bolts about 1/8". But then the front of the engine shroud scraped the leading edge of the gas cap whenever the shroud was open or closed. I then moved the whole shroud forward about 1/4". The mounting brackets on the shroud now tilt a little forward, but nothing rubs.

I'll give Robin another call too. I called earlier last week and was put on hold for 20 minutes, before I hung up. Either I caught them at a bad time or I need to be more patient.

Unfortunately, whether you want to or not, patience is required with many customer service calls nowadays. It costs companies money to staff live human service centers, even if they farm it out to lower cost call centers half way around the world. Almost all companies want you to help yourself before asking for help.

Personally, I enjoy a really good website that works well for searches and stuff because I would rather find it fast than have to hold and wait for a human. Unfortunately, about half the time the websites are hard to navigate or don't contain the information I am looking for.
