McCormick CX105 Kubota MX 5100 HST, Kubota ZD1021, Kawsaki Mule 4010 trans 4x4
I have have one of these rakes. Some of the tines are bent. Is it ok to heat the bent ones & straighten them ? Or , are they made of some type of special steel & heating them will make them weak or break ?

If it is the typical rear rake then the tines are heat treated spring steel and yes heating them will soften them. Although, if they bent instead of breaking, then they may already be softer than they should be.:rolleyes: If you try to cold straighten then they will crack and break. You could try removing them, heating and straightening and then re tempering. Or just buy new replacements. ;)

thanks mike . It is a typical rear rake. I will check on getting replacments for the bent tines
