Rotary cutter to quick hitch bushing question

I have a Kubota L3560 and a Land Pride RFC2072 rotary cutter. Last year I had it mounted directly to my three-point hitch but this year I'm attempting to use the quick hitch that came with my Big Tool Rack. The default pins on the cutter are (I believe) Category 1. I've added some shims / bushing that I believe are category 1 to category 2, but there seems to still be a lot of space in there - see pictures. Am I safe in assuming that I need to go one size bigger to keep everything tight? Or is there another option I'm not aware of? Or is it fine and I should stop worrying?

The aftermarket mushroom-style bushings that use a pin won't fit because it's a different design. What's the best course of action?

My preference would be to have it tighter. When I set up my equipment for quick hitch I bought bushings that fit the correct diameter I needed. Some of them had to be cut shorter because they wouldn't fit between the flanges of the implement. It only took a few minutes with a hacksaw. I didn't worry about the roll pin because once they're installed between the flanges they won't move.

Make it fit correctly once (add sleeves or shims) and be happy forever....

I use a bushing that goes from Cat.1 to Cat. 2 and one that fits Cat. 2 to Cat. 3.

Sometimes I can find a thick bushing that goes from Cat. 1 to Cat. 3.

There is your answer @JerkyChew , quick hitches require you to bush the pins to CAT3 size.

just take a 1/4X1 strap and bend around the 7/8 bar or 1 inch if you want a little
play and weld in , you will never need the adapters for the pens

I just uses a short piece of one inch water pipe... Yes its a little big on Cat 1 pin but fits QH just fine..... Implement stays locked to QH with no problem.... Secure pipe section with 3/8 bolt and elastic lock nut.... IF you needed a collar on pipe, well giganticus washer on pipe...

Similar to the photo above - I use sleeves and straps to keep the trailer ball upright.

I welded adapter tubes to straps bolted (so removable) onto the tips of the towbar. It might seem like the straps would bend under stress but they haven't, in a decade of use. There's a second bolt at the tip of the pin, not visible in this photo.
