I think extra bends would increase the pressure, not decrease it. The reason you would want to avoid the bends is because it would decrease the volume (or flow).

With a given pressure and given volume the more bends you put in a typical pneumatic or hydraulic system the more pressure drop you would get. The more pressure drop the less flow (volume). The measurement of the pressure drop would depend where along the line you put the pressure guage.

Based on what I'm finding out, i think the turbo i'm using is too big. I found out Kubota actually uses this turbo on a 2L engine.

I bet you are right.

Contact the vendor you got the turbo from and see if they can get you a compressor map.

You might try comparing inducer measurements with the other fella, and any markings on the turbine and compressor housings.

Like I said I have 5 or so TD3's that came off of 75 hp 4 cylinders out of a skid steer.


i spec'd a turbo once for my 900 and it was a tiny ihi i will try to find the info
