RTV500 HST Shifting

I hoped that complaining (constantly, sorry) about this would eventually yield results. Thanks to Matt, Tom and Stonhaller it did.

The adjustments dont turn it into a Polaris, but it is much nicer to drive and much less annoying now. It's actually fun.

After years of building cars, you kinda get a sense that there is more power available, and that is what was driving me up a wall. Now it's been found.

Good luck..I think you'll like the results if you do the adjustments.

Wow! I come back from vacation and see that we finally have some results. Thanks Matt for helping us all out.

737pilot I posted pictures of the idle screw and throttle stop (max speed) adjustments previously here RTV500 Throttle Adjustments - TractorByNet.com. These screws are buried under the carb so they are a little hard to see.

Matt,

I have a 500 rtv and I am concerned about the power that it displays in the mud. I want it to go when I press on the gas. It has to build up rpm before it starts to move. Can I correct this? My dealer really does not want to make any adjustments. Let me know.
