We've had a Tesla charging station at our nearby mall for several years now. We've seen ONE at it ONE time, ONCE. :laughing:
I think Edmunds towed an off road style teardrop camper with it and it got the equivalent of 15 mpg when you convert the cost of the electricity used to the cost of gas. They also had to unhook the trailer whenever they wanted to use one of the superchargers (which was quite often).
Use of those supercharger stations is free to any Tesla owner. I don't see how, with free electric available (anyplace there happens to be a supercharger station), it would tally out to 15MPG. I'm not shocked they're not commonly used. If you have the money to own a Tesla, "free electric" isn't a big deal...
