Schramm 160 CFM pneumatractor

Schramm 160 cfm pneumatractor. Belonged to the US Navy, has brass tag still attached to hood and "USN" branded into one or 2 of the tires. 1972 model. Has 160 cfm air compressor built into it, engine is a inline 6 cylinder. Front 3 cylinders run it and the back 3 are the compressor. The tank under the hood is an air tank, the gas tank for the engine is underneath the floor pan. Runs great. Transmission and finals are Farmall 140. $3,750

The firing order got me confused...1-5-2
You mentioned running on the front 3 and pumping on the back 3 ?

Firing order is 1-3-2, it's hard to see in that photo.

What I find amazing is that they can run normal. Take a regular 6 cylinder motor and pull 1 or 2 plug wires off and it about dies. Yet they do this ...? And still run and sound almost normal. Guess it's all in how they fire..

Interesting machine, but kind of for entertainment purposes only. I could have recently bought a IR 185 CFM Diesel compressor with JD engine, low hours from a Utility for cheaper than your asking in CDN funds.
