Anybody installed a seat cover over their seat ? My seat is cracked & I hate to buy a new seat. Just don't know what cover to buy.

I put one on a 600 ford but it was just alright ...I would buy a new seat, makes sitting for hours better than a cover.

The seat is ok as far as the foam. It's the vinyl that has cracked allowing water to get in making for a wet rear end. Just looking for a vinyl cover.

I glued vinyl patches on mine using Seal All. I rounded the edges. Been that way for a few years. They even blend in. I got a nice free piece of automotive grade vinyl at an upolstry shop this winter. Applied that to my HD using spray adhesive. Looks factory.

I was thinking something like tramp. Get a piece of vynal or something and either a good epoxy type glue or a chemical that "welds" the patch and the seat togeather.

Consider buying a molded plastic boat seat. that's what I have on mine and it is very comfy. They have snap on cushions, so in the winter you can bring them inside, extending their lifespan.

Tractor seats are way overpriced given the boating alternative.

My wife bought me a cover for my seat which was all cracked and nasty. It's great, has enough padding to cover all the seat cracks and has built-in pockets for cell phone and tools, etc... I'll have to ask her where she got it. She's a wizard at finding stuff on line. I know it cost $28 and is well worth it. It's 2yrs old now, been hosed off a few times but still looks like new.

Hope the cushon is good. Tractor seats are way over priced, if i had more room i would get a suspention seat for my tractor.

You clearly have not bushhogged across a bumpy field in yours yet, you want all the cushon from that hard plastic as you can get. These things will beat you bad and make your back hurt like you have been doing hard labor for 8 hours at the end of a say 4-5 hour stent.

The 336 seat has a front pivot mount and the back of the seat is coil spring mounted, so you bounce around on bumps. With the boat seat and the high back support it's pretty fun :). There are times I do that little kid sound of "WEEeeEEee" while bouncing up and down :p

I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have any springs or suspension below. The benefit of mounting your own seat is you can choose where the pivot ends up, which makes a big difference.

EDIT: Wow, nevermind! It appears I must have either A: had too much money when I bought these seats or B: found an amazing sale, because these boat seats now cost $200! They are comfy, though.

Im thinking you had way to must of found a deal! I think the replacement is $100 or less from Hoye. You can buy a suspention seat from agri-supply for less than $200 i think?

I have hard rubber bumpers on my ym2000. I have been meaning to upgrade to some springs. I have read on here to get old valve springs of some motor, v8 maybe and they should be about perfet height and tension to give when you bounce. Never got round to it.
