I am finding the spring adjustment for my seats is frozen up. Frozen up as like welded up.
Cannot get it to loosen up. This thing has some BIG heavy springs for the seat. I guess it has been like this from new. Finally realized the adjustment info in the manual is a joke. Nothing happens no matter how tight or loose it is....anyone got any insight on this ? Thanks

Bottom line is ALL Kubota OEM mechanical seats just plain suck and are designed for people five feet tall and weighing 80 lbs.

An air suspension seat is the solution I went with.

So I assume it's locked down... you can pry it up from the back side. Mine was totally locked down. Spray lube and working it back and forth... click on a very old you tube. I don't know how to make it "visible"... I tried. Click on "Watch on youtube"

This video is AFTER I got it to move, was a problem child to get it this far. You don't have to remove it from the tractor but in my case it was easier to remove.

I had both tabs that the springs are attached to, break off over the years. I replaced them with a bolt... next time at the farm, I'll take some (better) photos!

I got my seat unstuck...took it apart and had to beat the frame with a big hammer. Ended up removing one spring and the adjustment bolt. Used an eye bolt instead..so could pull tension from the middle of the adjuster. Lots of penetrating oil, motor oil and hammer got it all thawed out. I am a little guy at 150 lbs. These 2 springs were way too much. Now the seat works fine. Every time I get on the tractor now, I am gonna bounce up and down for awhile to keep it running young...ha ha ha

Glad you got it working... Guess the guy welding the suspension seats is back drinking again... :ROFLMAO::p

Do you guys having issues keep your tractors outside? My seat on my 2502 works flawless but I keep it inside and it gets adjusted occasionally depending on who uses it.

Nope inside most of the time... some people, never had a problem. Worked fine the whole time. Some were very surprised to find out they even had a suspension seat. It was Locked down from day one (that was mine!!!)

There was a short lived model, L3700 that some had the suspension part and some didn't have anything!!!

I also resorted to going the B-F-H system. There's no logic that I see for the seat to be fastened so tight to the frame in the first place. Kubota gets an "F" on that feature.
