My sediment bowl for my '78 B7100 is cracked and leaking fuel. I called my dealer and he said he needed the serial number from the tractor to order the proper one. For the life of me I cannot located the number anywhere. The tractor has been redone and am not sure if it was removed during that process. Can anyone point me to the exact spot it should be located? Thanks.

It will be stamped into the left hand side of the clutch housing. Like this:

Thanks for the info. Is it possible that it could have been painted over and hard to see? I imagine I would have seen that, but I will look at it again tonight.

Even painted over it should still be visible, it is pretty heavily stamped.
