shifter lever roll pin

I have FORD 9N 1947 YEAR. SHIFTER LEVER IS LOOSE AND THE ROLL PIN IS BROKE. How can one remove the broken pin. I have a new one for replacement . The top plate of transmission has the four bolt and looks like it emcompases the steering wheel mechanism.

you will likely have to drive or drill the old pin out. also look at the top area on the cover the pin rides. if it is wallowed.. i'd duild up.

if an aluminum cover.. tig it. if cast. braze it.. or weld.. your choice...
