Is there a reason no one puts shocks on trailers?

With leaf spring, or rubber torsion, shocks arent necessary because of the internal friction of the spring element which slows down the oscillation. With torsion steel, coil or air suspension, it is required because these suspensions dont have enough friction to stop the bounce.
Also, at my former employer we used to put them standard on the front axle of slew ring (hay wagon style) two and three axle trailers.
Horse trailers may have them as well, because of extra comfort.
