Purchased a 2 year old Farm King Sickle mower. Hydrolic cylinder has only one hose. Loader block on my Kubota L3400 has four connection ports. Which one would the hose from the mower connect to? Cylinder is to lift and drop cutter bar.
Thanks any info. Thanks
PS: Last sickle bar mower I operated was a tow behind converted horse drawn on pulled by a 1937 Case, so this one is all new to me.
The single-acting cylinder needs a control valve like this one. It's IN hose would tee in to the OUT port at the hydraulic block (side of transmission). The new valve's OUT hose tees in at the hydraulic block's exhaust return port.
The single hose to the sickle can go into either of the new valve's work ports. Mower will rise, hold or drop. Connecting between the loader valve and the hydraulic block allows use of the sickle with loader removed.
I use these guys for fittings & hoses - fast, accurate and reasonably priced. Have fun & take care, Dick B
