It works! Made the restrictor without the wire (didn't have anything that small). It still moves pretty quickly, but I don't feel out of control and I think I'll be fine.

First snow of the season headed this way. Great timing!

Total cost under $5.

The loose wire have two purposes....tuning the size of the hole and keeping the hole clean from clogging....

The wire would be an easy addition, if I had a wire that small. Don't have a hardware store in town, only box stores. Do you have a recommendation for possible sources?

I use brake hose sized lines and mine is just perfect for angle speed. My loader valves are graduated, also. That's what I use for the plow cylinders

The wire could be copper from a piece of electrical wire or a paper clip. Paper clips come in different sizes and wire size.

How about the music instrument store...guitar strings
Even rigid copper wire could work....from stranded electric wire...
