Smoke from exhaust: what's normal?

When I had my 63' Fordson Super Major, you would see the odd "spark" when travelling on the roads at night. I thought the engine was done. But after some research I found other owners of the same tractor were experiencing the same thing, and had from new. They called it Fordsoning! Some diesel just behave differently I guess. I think your good!

Either way you with such low hours, your probably on warranty, bring it in to the dealer if your really concerned.

Sounds completely normal to me. I'd worry if a diesel was not putting out some level of smoke/vapor on startup and changes in RPM. As long as it's not blue, you're OK.
