A number of us CSM and BSM and each has their advantages.

But when you are in an urban situation both are loud and can be expensive. I've gone over the benefits of each in other posts. But if you've got that cherry tree or black walnut that's come down what do you do?

Sometimes there's local urban millers.

But if your on TBN your probably the type that want's to do it yourself, without a lot of noise.

Here Backyard lumber milling is a guy that's designed a 14" capacity sawmill out of basically scrap wood.

Cost looks minimal, plus you end up with a 14" bandsaw.

Be better off takin the tree elsewhere. Not trying to knock their ingenuity, they have a good plan of attack.
