I have a Grand L6060, Open Station, ROPs, 4x4 HST Plus Transmission, loader, 3 rear remotes, top and tilt kit, 3rd Function Valve, R-4s with only 36.1 hours on it (may go up before sale or course). Bought it in June of 2020 but had to wait for about 10-12 weeks for it to be built. It’s always 100% garage kept and has never spent the night outside.

I custom ordered this because we planned to keep it forever. I’m an active duty Air Force Officer, 17 years and counting. We got unexpected orders to move to Europe. We thought we had 1 last move and had planned to move it with us someplace south.

Anyhow I either have to pay to store it for 4 years or sell it. I cringe at the money I’ll lose but it will cost me a small fortune to pay for storage for 4 years. Not to mention how hard that would be on everything sitting that long.

Anyhow when I sell it, it will be the deal of a lifetime for someone. A complete dream package:

2020 Kubota L6060 HST+ ($43,000)
2013 PJ 20’ Equipment Trailer ($3000)
60” EA Wicked Root Rake Grapple ($3000)
Titan Log Grapple ($1500)
Titan Tree and Post Puller ($1000)
72” Kubota HD bucket ($1200)
Land Pride Forks ($850)
Land Pride HR2572 Box Blade (hydraulic Scarifiers) ($3000)
Land Pride 3 Pt Post Hole Auger with 9” bit (only used once) ($1800)
1100lb counter weight with trailer mover
72” HD Woods Bush Hog ($2000)
8’ Ford Disc ($1000)
3pt Subsoiler ($200)
72” landscape rake ($450)
FEL 3PT hitch adapter plate
3rd Function Valve Guard Plate

Probably more I’m forgetting. Anyhow I have well over $60k invested. We were clearing land on our property for several years and had a 60hp skid steer and 40hp tractor. I sold both and bought this L6060. I’d like to sell the whole package and get around $46k if possible. If you are interested at all please let me know through PM.
I can get photos if anyone is interested. Located near Dayton, Ohio.

If you are certain that you will retire in the South Georgia area, you might be able to ship, and store the tractor (or everything) somewhere in that area.
You could likely arrange a U-Ship pick up and delivery, but would obviously need to also have a storage location pre-arranged.
I assume that you might have been previously been stationed at Warner Robbins, and are familiar with the area.
Taking a bath now, and then paying 4 year future inflated prices, might not be the better idea that you currently think it will be.
I store my two tractors for 6+ months of each year (FL snow bird) with no negative effects (tires off floor).

As an example of value:
I bought a 251 hour, original owner 2006 Kubota L48 TLB in June of 2019 for 32K, and now 21 months later, I believe it to be worth 3K more!
Of course, I am a long ago USN pilot.....so what do I know?....If long ago I had been smart, I would have first researched..... best service golf courses,..... and would have never experienced the "joy" of carrier life.;)
I didn’t catch the golf course comment.. so true!! 🤣. Believe it or not I almost commissioned in the Navy. I was looking for a change after 10 years. My wife wasn’t buying it lol. We didn’t know anyone in the Navy other than the recruiter I was working with. I was down to just getting a signed release from my command and it would have been a done deal.
I did deploy with the Marines once. That was an experience!! And I work with folks from all branches now in my current work so I think I made the right decision.

I'll store it for you, for the low rate of negative $100 a month.... @ 100 hrs/yr or less of gentle run time to keep it fresh and lubed. :)

Might want to talk to your dealer, ours will do consignment on tractor, package or attachments. They also do referrals.

I appreciate the input. I travel to that area regularly for work. Also considering the Pensacola, FL area as well but real estate prices there have gone mad the last few years.
Both locations have what I do as a Program Manager.

My oldest son will be a Junior in college here in OH so I could store it here and just have him go start it once in a while.

However, the storage places I’ve called here locally are $125-200/mo for something large enough to fit it which would be $6000-9600 just for storage.

So storing is our backup plan but not ideal.
I understand your concern about storage cost, but....
Consider what that tractor will cost new.....4 years hence!
It could possibly be more than $9,000.
If you do store it, be CERTAIN to keep a quality battery smart trickle charger on it, and add Biobor (Fungicide) to the diesel.
No Harbor Freight charger!

You will PAY the OP $100 per month for 100 hours or less per YEAR, use of his tractor ?
YOU would pay HIM $1,200 per year, and use his tractor less than 100 hours per year?
Would need to have full value KTAC, or Inland Marine Insurance.

Sounds like a heck of a deal...for Deezler. Just would have to confirm his choir boy status first. :giggle:

I’ll give them a call, that is a good idea. Only downfall would be it would sit outside. Which I know won’t hurt anything.. I just like to keep things protected. It sat right next to my F-150 up until a couple weeks ago when we sold it. It had rarely, if ever spent the night outside either

Totally tracking and appreciate the info. My biggest fear is what’s next after we get back stateside? I haven’t done a staff job in DC.. we thought we were going to Georgia and ended up on another continent.. I’ll promote right after this tour which will strong arm me into 3 more years to get the full retirement at that grade.

I was content with retiring in Georgia because I could transition into a Civil Service civilian job.. but who knows what time will bring at the end of this assignment. Heck I might be too busy with kids and grand kids by then. 🤷‍♂️

With that information, I have a totally different viewpoint!
There would seem to be to many unknowns to logically store the tractor.
Will you be promoted to 0-6?
