Tonight on our way home from Oklahoma we passed a sign for a place of business. I said, "I want to do that on my next birthday."

My wife said, "you're crazy!"

By the time we got home we had Scott my adopted son, my son in law Matt, my son John, and maybe my son in law Rex all committed to join me this coming July 3rd, a Sunday.

I can. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Shortly after retiring, I went for a flight in a glider out in Arizona. I really enjoyed it, although it's not something I'd spend much time and money on. But I have no intention of ever jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, even once. I agree with Glenda. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Don't know who Glenda is? But am assuming it is Harv's wife. I agree with Bird and Glenda. I just don't think I could handle falling that fast. Now I realise the fall won't hurt me, it's the sudden stop at the bottom that would?? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Part of my wifes Christmas this year is going to be a GC for a hot air balloon ride in the springtime. She has always wanted to do this, so she is. I dont think I could get her to jump out of an airplane though.

I will not be going on the balloon with her, I like a little more between me and the ground when I am that high

Danny; Hotair baloons are fantastic!! The only thing you hear is the burner, and you just feel a slight breeze. I've flown in many different ways, but I don't care much for helicopters. Theres just something about relying on a few nuts that hold the wings that rotate. I have done planes, and my very first time in the air was in a heli. LOVED IT! Would do it again and will. We were in Gatlinburg TN, off the cuff, spur of the moment got to do this thing. We pulled in and in a couple of minutes we were airborne.

I saw something yesterday that will make you think.......and i did not have my camera...........going down the interstate in KY, i75, was a trailer with ............ a small plane on it, with the wings took off of it and placed under the plane. Makes one wonder how easy they actually do come off!
