Re: Someone Have Pic of BAR TURFS - Not R4\'s?
I'm coming to the conclusion that turf problems with any given tire depends on soil and grass conditions and operating practice at least as much as the tires themselves, and maybe more so. In my case, the soil is mostly clay, the grass is mostly fescue, and I mow high. If I mow when dry, there's no scuffing whatsoever with R4s. I always swung a mower pretty wide, even before acquiring the tractor. Just seemed as easy to me to swing out and mow "over yonder" and return for a second swipe as it is to spin around and finish a spot right then and there. Maybe easier. My mowing pattern may look a little odd, but what the heck, I enjoy the ride ...
I don't know what you have, but one thing I noticed in the past is when I had a sodded lawn, even a push mower would move and cut the turf in some spots where the roots never extended well into the underlying soil. Even without sod, areas around trees can be softer because of shading.
When I saw the turfs on the front of the 7610 and bar-turfs on the back, I didn't ask, but got the impression that perhaps bar turfs of the appropriate size for the fronts weren't available, as they evidently are for the 7800.
