I have a JD 2032R that just began making a fairly load squeal when in motion. It started sounding like the parking brake was engaged but has become a lot louder. The tractor only has 40 hours on it. Started to smell hot. Also feels like it is loosing power when under some load - I was raking some loose dirt and really started squealing.

Any ideas? Dealer can’t get to it for 4 weeks. Ugh..

Don't know any details about your tractor, but highly suspect is that the emergency brake is on, or that your hydraulic system is deadheading, and your relief valve is bypassing hydraulic fluid at full pressure. Check to make sure that all your hydraulic controls are in neutral. Especially your 3pth. Ignore the hydraulic issue if your tractor is closed center hydraulics.

Thanks for the input. The only hydraulics are 1&2 for the FEL. I have suspected that the emergency brake is hanging up somewhere. I have not had any engine issues or hydraulic issues so seems to be narrowed to movement in the machine so either transmission or emergency brake is my guess
