That's the number of historical posts on this board as of a few minutes ago. I started to think about how many of them come from the Star Members ... and ... Shazzam ... here's the answer (which will be obsolete before I post it}:
-- Bird, the Guiness poster, has 1811 posts, which is 10.91% of the historical total. Holy Moly, the ex captain is a marvel.
-- MarkC has 1440, for 8.68%
-- Wen has 1432, for 8.63%. (Better get in gear, Wen, Mark's whuppin' ya.)
-- Gordon has 755, for 4.55%
-- JimBinMI has 719, for 4.33%
If I have left out any Star Member, I apologize.
-- Muhammad, can't forget the Creator, has 1518, for 8.63%
Together, these 6 screen names have 46.26% of the total historical posts on this board. Amazing!
What is more amazing, however, is a news report that is probably going to break on the Drudge Report this weekend. I have gotten the following advance copy:
"Lake Glimmerglass, New York -- Investigators for the federal Archeological and Geological Survey have reported that a webmaster here has recruited a loyal army of heavy equipment owners. Sources have revealed that the webmaster, like a modern-day cybernetic Wizard of Oz, has recruited this worshipful following largely through the use of his alter ego screen names, called Star Members. He imparts semi-divine omniscience to these Star Member creations using digital imaging tricks down to the detailed level of coffee cups. Investigators for the Archeological and Geological Survey also believe that the unrevealed master plan of the webmaster's organization is nothing less than to ...."
Well, the report goes on with several provocative details and unconfirmed speculations--but you get the point.
Can someone confirm or deny, with proof positive, whether this ugly rumor about our Star Members is true or not. Are they real ... or are they Memorex?
