Steiner 525, does the boom mower fit?

I found a nice Steiner boom mower I'm going to be purchasing. I'm still hunting for another Steiner or Ventrac for a reasonable price. I found a really clean 525, anyone know if the boom mower fits this model? The guy currently has it on 430.
Also, any opinions on the 525 model in general would be great. I found a little bit of info on here about them, not much though. Seems there are a lot of units for sale out there with 5000 plus hours, so it seems they can't be that bad. I'm drawn to the foot controls and more operator room. They don't look like they turn very sharply though.

I have one, bought it used. It had a zillion hours on it (Meter said 3400 but it quit working for a couple years.) Mine finally died, just buried out out back in the boneyard yesterday. Not sure if the gas engines last as long as the diesels, but the diesel gave me great service. I tried to sell mine as a parts machine with some implements, but no takers. Not many of them down here, and it is too far for most in the NE to ride.
I have never seen a boom mower, but for some reason I think it does fit the 525.

Wonder if the counter weights on the boom mower are the same as the rear weights on the 525? Just curious because I noticed the boom mower on ebay didn't come with the counter weights, something I would assume you would need. My 525 came with rear weights.

The suitcase weights are the same and are required for stability when using the Boom Mower.

Thanks for the confirmation that the boom mower does indeed fit a 525. The boom would be much easier to operate with the foot control hydro on the 525, frees up a hand to raise / lower and angle the boom mower.
sandman2234, how did you like your 525? Was it more comfortable to operate than the 420/430 units? I do like my old s-20, but it is cramped and the controls aren't very user friendly. It turns on a dime, as I understand it the newer models don't turn as sharp due to safety regulations.

I really can't say about how it compared to "other's" because it is the only Steiner I have ever driven, and actually was the owner of it before I even knew what a "Steiner" was, lol!! ( that is what happens when you send someone else to an auction with cash and tell them to buy you a tractor!!) I had no real complaints about the unit, got a great deal, used it for several years till it started spewing white smoke after it warmed up. I have extra parts, extra decks, 10K generator, (fab'd up nicely to work, copy but not actually Steiner) blower, wheel motors, belts that someone should buy!

Thanks David. If I actually buy this thing maybe I'd be interested in some of your parts. It has about 1400 hrs, comes with a 72" deck and 60" plow, guy wants 6900. It's a little salty IMO, and I'd greatly prefer a 60" dexk for my not so level property.

Sandman2234 do you by chance want to sell the cowl parts that cover the rear of the engine? They bolt on outside like a grill but are covering the backside of the engine. Thanks or anyone else have these pieces?
