Anyone any suggestions for curing really “REALLY” stiff steering on my Pasquali

It has got manual steering so it’s always been a bit of a beast to steer, but recently I seem to have to really haul the wheel to steer and turning when stationery is just a no go!

ive checked the oil in the steering column and the tyres are inflated to 22PSI.

Jack up the front end and turn the wheels with the steering wheel. If it's stiff then, you know it's somewhere in the steering system. You can disconnect parts of the linkage (drag link, tie rod, etc) to further debug. Of course there may be more than one problem. If not maybe the kingpins need help.

I can't help with the mechanical suggestions but with manual steering I always ran at about thirty psi.

Just for reference for future viewers, this Pasquali is a small articulated tractor.

As Eric suggested, you can disconnect the steering link from the gearbox to the front half of the tractor to isolate the steering box. If the steering is still hard, then your problem is inside the steering box.
