STILL PO\'D WITH MAHINDRA/BRADCO!!!!

OK, got the new pump! Put it on and: I've got good news and I've got bad news.....Good News first: The pump is actually the correct one, and it works (seems the suction line and high pressure line locations are reversed on this pump vs. the one that came with the unit...OK, now the bad news. It still DOESNT' FIT!!!!! The tank and the tractor will still not have a happy meeting. Not sure who Bradco outsourced the tank/hydraulics to but they sure screwed up BIGTIME!. I called the dealer this afternoon, he'll be out to look and he's gonna get the Mahindra field rep this time. They can have it back, I don't even want it anymore......Mahindra/Bradco, you better be monitoring this forum, cause you got issues buddy! bobg in va

Re: STILL PO\'D WITH MAHINDRA/BRADCO!!!!

It would have been a lot less hassle on your part to have had the dealer do the install. That way if anything doesn't work it is on their and Mahindra's shoulders.

Re: STILL PO\'D WITH MAHINDRA/BRADCO!!!!

sorry to hear all this bob. ive been following this post for awhile waiting to see how it turns out. my dad has already mentioned putting a backhoe on my tractor, he comes up every christmass and usually suprises us with something expencive. he runs a good size construction company in florida and im sure he is going to buy a backhoe for my tractor. this would be a good opportunity to sell a bunch of mahindra tractors because they bought several new hollands a year or two ago and its one thing after another so they are getting rid of all of them and he will decide what they get to replace them. if he comes up and gets me a backhoe he will want to show me how to use it before he leaves, if its nothing but problems and his vacation is ruined mahindra will loose a chance to sell a dosen tractors to begin with. just wanted to let you know we are watching and it does matter for real.

Re: STILL PO\'D WITH MAHINDRA/BRADCO!!!!

I've been following this post also.. Something don't add up.. I had a 4110 with the Bradco 511 and it ran flawless.. Originally, it came using the tractor pump only,, It was next to useless.. A call, (A CALL) to the dealer, New England Tractor,, and after they made a few calls, I was told 3 weeks later to return the tractor to the dealer... They kept it a week and installed the 15 gallon tank and the higher volume (forget what it was) PTO pump.. The side mounting rails were changed (longer to accomodate pump and tank) and the thing ran flawless from then on... The dealer is a hair slower than others, but on the other hand, they do exceptional work and are real perfectionist with a tractor... I don't understand how such a basic and simple set up can go so wrong.

Re: STILL PO\'D WITH MAHINDRA/BRADCO!!!!

It appears to me that the frame mounts, or the connectors on the unit are about 3 inches short. The "new" tank that they sent me is about an inch too narrow where the pump sets up in between (I actually had the tractor's swinging drawbar set up touching on both sides (about 1/8 inch) touching on both sides. Additionally, the suction line will get "crimped" where it comes out of tank and over to the other side into the pump unit. As I mentioned, I called the dealer and he was having the same problems with a 2810 and the Mahindra unit they make for that....I noted that the tank "bungs" (about 5 in tank as it comes) All HAD "MADE IN CHINA" stamped on them. I believe Bradco screwed up royally when they made that decision.....just my opinion, and not being slanderous toward anyone, just based on my real life experience (PS- Slander is only slander if its a lie, I can back up my statements with facts.....) Re: STILL PO\'D WITH MAHINDRA/BRADCO!!!!

I don't mind hassel, but I'd have been without the tractor for about a month or more if I had them do it. Beside, being somewhat mechanically inclined as well as retired (now have the time) I find I have a learned a great deal. As we all know if you have a high pressure hydraulic set up for anything, sooner of later one has to replace hoses or cylinders or change buckets (I ordered two, but the 12" one hasen't shownup either). Who would I call on for that after the warranty period is over?? Just my thought process. Thanks for the post! I'll keep you folks up to date on progress or lack thereof. BobG in Va

Re: STILL PO\'D WITH MAHINDRA/BRADCO!!!!

Sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with your bh. I have a Mahindra 2810 with a 3375 Mahindra bh which is made by Bradco.
This unit has work 100% with no issues. It has a pto pump and is sub frame mounted. This unit has enough power to raise the tractor off of the ground with the boom or digging on say a root it will then, when the hoe is not all the way out, will raise the front end off of the ground. I often move the tractor forward or backwards with the hoe as not to have to change seats.
All in all I am very happy with this set up.

Re: STILL PO\'D WITH MAHINDRA/BRADCO!!!!

Bob, sounds like the longer arms would have made a huge difference in your install. There is a lot to be said about getting a dealer that knows what they are doing when ordering parts to add a BH or other attachments to a tractor. Even doing the install yourself, which SHOULD have been pretty straightforward (given the correct parts), the dealer really should have been responsive to your needs when making the purchases.

Re: STILL PO\'D WITH MAHINDRA/BRADCO!!!!

Here's today's update: I spoke at length with the Bradco tech rep in the mid-west. He says they will do everything they can to make this right. I sent him a few digital pictures late today. I was correct in that the outside width of the drawbar frame (where the pump sits inside) is 13 1/2 inches and the inside width of the tank opening (where the pump goes up inside) is 12 3/4 inches. Nope, no way, no how will this tank do the job either. Hopefully, I'll hear something tomorrow. Bobg in VA
