Strange issue with electric brakes on tandom axel trailer

Ok so here we go... I took the trailer in this morning and had it inspected. It passed, from what the inspection mechanic saw when we tested it there... they locked up. Apparently tightening up the drums as much as i did and driving it ~15 miles did the trick? I want to thank everyone for their suggestions and help!

any chance there was some glazing that worked off in the driving?

also.. many self and partial self energizing brakes sometimes like a chamfered leading edge vs square. maybee they literally 'wore in' real quick,

Its possible... I can tell you one thing for sure... There was going to be some heat build up in there and some premature wear on those shoes since i had them opened so much...

Yeah, that would be my concern with your "fix". But you should have been able to smell the hot shoes after your 15 mile pull if they were too tight.
