Strawberries - How to keep chipmunks out

Anyone have any non-lethal ideas to keep chipmunks out of the strawberries? We have 200+ plants, but the little guys seem to beat us to every ripe one.

Drink some beer and then go pee on them. It will also keep away deer. You have to reapply after every rain.

ahem...

Anyway, no, I cannot think of any non-lethal ways. Cat, rat trap and pellet gun come to mind.

Wait, there is one... get a live trap. They work, but you will just be moving the pesky critters to someone else's yard. And you have to check with your local laws against trapping wild critters and re-locating them VS killing them, etc...
