they may have been giving a 5% raise, but this doesn't tell you what they (Deere) are trying change for that raise

Deere's making record profits. Their workers are right to demand more of a share.
Really? What risks are the employees taking to earn higher profits? What have they invested in ensuring continued success of the company outside of what the company is already compensating them to do?

If the employees want more money they need to improve their skills and get qualified for a better job. They aren’t owed :poop: by Deere or anyone else.

It's a power grab by the employees/union.

Do more with less it sounds like.

The CEO got a 120% raise, so says the reports. If I cared twit about JD, I'd probably be a little upset with a 5% raise too. SS and government retirees are getting a 5.9% raise but COL has gone up about 20% around here. The gov'ment is always low but JD is less than that. o_O

They had no C.O.L.A. in the previous contract so they should get a bump in pay to make that up.
That was the only contract since the 60's that didn't have COLA.

Wow, they still had COLA? We lost that at our local (USWA) in the late 70's. I didn't think anybody was still getting that.
